Battlestar Galactica is FREE on SyFy right now!! And since my xBox decided to take a dump, I haven’t binged this since high school! Beautiful soundtrack, great CGI for pre-2010, compelling characters and story. Such a great show.

33
was one of the best episodes of televised fiction
, sci-fi or not, ever made.

I might have to queue it up in about 10 minutes. Haven’t seen it in about 10 years. I loved BSG before the writers’ strike and finacial meltdown of 2008, and always wished they could have stuck the landing.
But 33 really just nailed it in a way that very, very, very few things ever have.

I never got to the last season.

Here’s the link! Mind you, I didn’t start the show until 2012, and after the ending I wished the landing was better stuck, but I cannot think of another sci-fi show that captivated audiences so well from start to just before the finish line. TNG had a shaky start until it caught it’s stride past season 2 and was exceptional all the way to All Good Things.
That said, it is to date the definitive sci-fi show of the 2000s, and so far, this century for me. Star Trek Enterprise and Discovery being the only other two that come to mind, and only the former can barely compete on rare occasions. 33 is just pure perfection.

I won’t lie. Compared to what came before, t he last season struggles to stick the landing (‘08 Writers Strike) , but it’s closure on the epic adventure is the best we’ll get. And it at least ties up the majority of loose ends, I believe. Now’s a chance to watch and see if it’s satisfactory for you! :)

Oh nice, I have the whole thing with webisodes and other additional stuff they did, through Blood and Chrome etc... My wife liked it and also she liked Farscape, another one people should watch if they haven’t. We watch those all the way through every few years.

I may be able to. Between the crush of work and trying to get through back episodes of Once Upon a Time, it may be tough. But at least I finished Altered Carbon season 2.

It’s on amazon prime too.

I thought Blood and Chrome was alright, but the inconsistencies with the Galactica and a few smaller things made it come off as a rushed job to me. I was sure happy it happened though. I haven’t watched Razor yet, but it’s also on SyFy.

How long has it been since Once Upon a Time started on air? I forgot about that show, but I’ve heard okay things about Altered Carbon.

Is it free there too?

TNG was a huge part of my childhood. Like appointment TV.
The relationship between TNG’s design and GM’s design at the time didn’t really hit me until I did design school, but I remember riding in the passenger seat of a Bonneville SSei when I was a freshman in HS, and thinking that the whole thing looked like the Enterprise D.

Again, showing my lack of age, I didn’t get too into Trek until late middle school (2007-08), but once I started, it never stopped. From TOS to TNG, Most of VOY and some of DS9, and more than half of ENT on my record. Not to mention the films, I even enjoyed The Motion Picture for what it’s worth, but obviously Wrath of Khan is top tier.
When the BBC started marathoning TOS and TNG a few years back , I was all over it; unfortunately it was the same episodes but they’re the best of the lot (shame they never showed The Doomsday Machine on there).
I had to look one up, but I thi nk I see it.

Seven, eight years? I’m a sucker for it.
If you liked anything about Blade Runner, watch Altered Carbon. It’s action-adventure, detective murder mystery, and empire building, all mixed in with cyber punk.

You can skip the season where they were on the planet, it felt like filler, but I did like the series ending.

The Adama manoeuvre was awesome, but later in that episode, I’ll have to give it to the Pegasus coming to the rescue. I genuinely thought Galactica was going to go down in flames, then possibly my favourite moment in the show.
Pity what happened to Pegasus afterward, but the show is called Battlestar Galactica, not Pegasus.

You mean the one where they tried to colonize that barren world but got discovered and had to flee? Yeah, already did that. Oh well.
